After the Northern Rivers Rail Trail, we traveled to the Kangaroo River Valley and spent two magical days at Jack and Mafalda’s country house, surrounded by nature. Then it was off to the mountains, through forests and past mighty waterfalls to Armidale in New England, where we were accordingly greeted with rain and chilly temperatures. Back on the coast, we once again enjoyed the hospitality of several Warmshowers hosts and finally reached our destination in Australia: Sydney. We spent almost week in the city, preparing for our flight to New Zealand, doing some sightseeing, and having a wonderful time with Sue, Jen, Tilly, and Stephen. It was definitely a appropriate end to our three-month stay in Australia!
